I would like to start off by sharing  with you my  first love  that will always be my mother.  The first teacher who gave me that divine connection from birth.  A true West Indian women that was proud of where she came from Saint Kitts and Nevis. O’  Boy how I miss her cooking.  I especially miss her saltfish and dumplings in addition to my grandmother’s Johnny cakes that will melt in your mouth. These two women did not have much, but whatever they had, they shared with family and friends and there was always plenty of food to go around. They instilled in me honor and respect towards others, but to stand up for what I believe.  I will always love and  honor these women.  May they rest in peace!
